OMG, I had the same experience,  had a Grand Voyage booked in March 2022 on the Seaside with an FCC from a 2020 cancelled cruise. In addition I have a cruise booked for this coming September to the Caribbean on the MSC Meraviglia. I had to cancel the Grand Voyage in 2022 and asked them to use the FCC on the Meraviglia cruise this September.

I called MSC today to complain but as I figured, there are no cabins available in the Yacht Club for this cruise so I cancelled and asked for a refund. Our customer service staff will be happy to help you make or change a booking, and provide you with assistance before or after your cruise. Personally,  I would not mention anything beyond that you had a conversation with the Captain who offered his apologies - mentioning the coffee thing will only make them defensive, and that's not what you are aiming for. Include clear copies of every document you mention in your letter, including that stamp in your passports and proof of your travel expenses. Include the name of the official in Rabat and the official who boarded the ship in San Salvador (you have those names, right?)  Don't threaten a lawsuit or that you've spoken with an attorney.

Complain onboard, they will take care of it by reducing your tip amount. So basically they will screw you over first and the crew to fix it. I would probably try to contact the TA you used before even though they didn't have this booking and see if their rep can help. Unless you can get a supervisor involved, even then it won't help much, you might be out of luck. In my case similar to yours, I was VERY SPECIFIC with my stateroom number and made sure that the correct price was matched to the (later) more expensive cruise.
